Purpose

The Institute of Human Genetics (IHG) is a new program at the University of Illinois at Chicago whose mission is to investigate the genetic basis of human disease and to translate novel discoveries in human genetics to improve the medical management of human disease. The IHG serves as the central hub for genomics and human genetics on the UIC campus and its membership currently consists of faculty from the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, and the School of Public Health.
